DA Dark City: Coming From Darkness

"I need you, Marian." Cullen whispered against her lips, his thumb caressing against her cheek. "We are surrounded by darkness and I have lived with it for so long but you...you are the light I turn to. I don't want to be in darkness anymore."

"You are already fighting through it, Cullen." Marian replied as she held onto the man who had embraced her to his body. They had started off passionately, stumbling into the room, bumping into things in the dark and then when they stopped under the skylight, Cullen stopped and looked into her face, his face mostly shadowed by the moonlight shining down. A subtle shift happened in him as his hand had come up to cradle Marian's face with such soft affection, it made her heart skip.

"Only because of you. I am supposed to be a knight of light, fighting against the forces of darkness, but I have been the one causing the darkness to spread in Kirkwall for so long." Marian was about to protest but Cullen quieted her with a soft kiss. "I fought through addiction twice over, I fought against my better judgment, I even fought against my own desires and then realized, I have been fighting against something I shouldn't. Maybe it is Andraste guiding me to find myself and here I found you, placed before me, a shining beacon of hope. Hope that I have lost along the way was now standing in my way, invading my life, my thoughts, and my heart."

"Cullen..." Marian whispered.

"Shut up, Marian." Cullen told her gently. "There is something remarkable between us and i don't want to lose it. I find myself struggling against the darkness in me that has threatened to drown me over the years. After what I have been through, I never thought to find love in such a fierce, stubborn, and independent mage. You have shown me that there can be a world where a mage and templar could exist side by side. We are example of that. So, I say again, I need you..." Cullen bent his head down to kiss Marian with soft tenderness, feeling the electric sensation of 'rightness' between them. Pulling back a breath away, Cullen gave a small smile. "I want you, Marian."

With those words, she gave Cullen a trembling smile. She couldn't trust herself to speak, so when Cullen kissed her again, Marian lost herself in it and the man filling her senses.

Okay, okay, a bit heavy there....a glimpse of the future of these two in Dark City. Also, I updated Marian and this is the debut with Cullen. I updated her model and improved on some features.
